For the first time in the tournament, only two games will be played on Tuesday, with Portugal looking to impress in their Group F debut.
The first round of Euro 2024 group stage matches is about to end, with Group F taking the scene today. Most of the favorites have won their opening matches, with Germany and Spain thrashing their opponents and other top contenders like England, France, and the Netherlands having to dig deep to get the three points.
On Monday, Rumania recorded an impressive performance against Ukraine, considered a darkhorse in the tournament. Edward Iordănescu’s players proved too solid for the Ukrainians, who had only lost once in their last nine outings. After that Slovakia pulled off the biggest Euro upset so far, defeating Belgium thanks to a Schranz goal before halftime, and France managed to get their first win after a hard-fought game against Austria.
Euro 2024: what games are on Tuesday 18 June?
As previously mentioned, only two games will be played today, the Group F ones. Turkey, one of the standout teams during Euro 2024 qualifiers, will take on Georgia in the first clash of the day.
Vincenzo Montella’s men are the favorites going into the game against Khvicha Kvaratskhelia & co., while one of the biggest candidates to win the trophy, Portugal, will take on the Czech Republic. Robert Martinez’s men were the best team during the qualifiers, with 10 wins in 10 matches, and will try to extend their impressive winning record in Germany.
