Who’s next in for Pumas? Ariel Holan an option
Universidad Nacional continues in search of its new manager to lead the team into the upcoming campaign.
The UNAM Pumas added a new candidate to take the reins of the first team. The name in question is Ariel Holan who could be lined up ahead of the Clausura Tournament 2022.
According to information from David Medrano, the club have Leon’s former technical director on the radar. It should be noted that Holan currently coaches the Catholic University of Chile but has not had a great time of things, being eliminated from the Copa Sudamericana and the National Cup.
Ferretti, locked out for financial reasons
Although the first option continues to be Ricardo Ferretti, along with Guillermo Vázquez Jr as assistant, the negotiation has stalled due to the salary issue. The Pumas are not willing to match what the Brazilian earned at Tigres and more recently in the Bravos de Juárez.
On the other hand, Jaime Lozano is also being given the once over by the National University after his departure from the Rayos de Necaxa in the current campaign. The auriazul board will have to make a decision as soon as possible to prepare for the next tournament after the slump in the Apertura 2022, in which they were out of the top 12 places.
