Update:

Nashville, Columbus and Harrison, New Jersey are gearing up for a week of women’s soccer as the host cities for this year’s SheBelieves Cup.

There was a new name on the cup last year after Japan broke the USWNT’s dominant run of five straight triumphs. Argentina, Canada and Colombia are this year’s guest teams. This will be Canada’s fourth appearance while Argentina and Colombia have both been invited once each.

USWNT head coach Emma Hayes announced the 26 players that will form her roster for the tournament - 23 outfield players and three goalkeepers. The rosters were expanded from 23 to 26 for this, the 11th edition of the SheBelieves Cup. Another new feature is that all games that end in a tie will be decided by a penalty shootout.

Heaps eyeing seventh title

Nine USWNT players will be taking part in the tournament for the first time while 13 players who were involved in last year’s competition return. Captain Lindsey Heaps has six SheBelieves titles under her belt, while this will be Hayes’ second stab and winning it.

Veteran defender and seven-time winner Emily Sonnett has been here before many times - she is the only player to have made the USWNT roster in every single edition of the SheBelieves Cup.
