Why did the MLS suspend Minnesota United star, Emanuel Reynoso?
Minnesota United will start their season on February 25th when they take on FC Dallas as they seek their fifth straight trip to the MLS playoffs.
Ex-Boca Juniors midfielder Emanuel Reynoso has been suspended without pay by the MLS for failing to show up to training camp. According to reports, the Argentine has missed a month of preseason.
Reynoso is a two-time All-Star playmaker who joined Minnesota United in 2020, where he has made 71 appearances while scoring 16 goals and giving 27 assists.
The talented midfielder signed a contract with the team this last September that would keep him with them until 2026.
What has Minnesota United said about Emanuel Reynoso’s suspension?
The Loons had previously stated that the player was in Argentina attending personal matters, from which he has yet to return.
The ex- Boca’s problems may have to be with an assault charge he has pending from 2021, where he stands to face trial.
There is no further news on when Reynoso could be back with the team or whether another fine might be imposed.
