FA CUP
Why is Ryan Gravenberch not playing for Liverpool against Southampton in the FA Cup?
Wataru Endo left is also a doubt for the visit of Championship side Southampton.
Liverpool return to cup action today (Wednesday), as they welcome Southampton to Anfield in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Ryan Gravenberch will miss at least two of Liverpool’s upcoming games due to an ankle injury he picked up in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final victory over Chelsea.
The midfielder was taken off on a stretcher at Wembley after a tackle from Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo and he has subsequently been ruled out of Liverpool’s clash with Southampton.

Japan international Wataru Endo left London on Sunday on crutches and is also a doubt for the visit of the Championship side. Forwards Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah as well as midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai remain under assessment ahead of the game against the Saints.
Klopp discusses Liverpool injuries
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: “What I know is that Ryan is not available, along with all the others not available. It’s a ligament injury, could’ve been much worse but bad enough for being ruled out of this game and the next game.
“Wataru got a proper knock so we have to see as well. I wouldn’t say it’s much improved from Sunday. We need miracles with a few players but it is touch and go with a lot of players who were not available for the final. Darwin (Nunez), Mo (Salah), Dom (Szoboszlai), we have to see what they can do today.”
