Will Lozano leave Napoli this summer? Mexican isn’t in García’s plans
Italian champions Napoli are reportedly poised to sell Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano, with a number of Spanish clubs pursuing the Mexican.
Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano is in the frame to leave Serie A champions Napoli this summer, with the Mexican seemingly not in new head coach Rudi García’s plans.
Napoli eager to avoid Lozano exit on free
According to the Italian media outlet Calciomercato, Napoli would be willing to sell Lozano for around €15 million - a sum well below the €45m the club paid to sign the forward from PSV Eindhoven in 2019.
Given that the 27-year-old only has 12 months left on his current Napoli deal, the Partenopei are keen to recoup some of their investment now, and avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer.
Is ‘Chucky’ LaLiga-bound?
Calciomercato also reports that several Spanish clubs are chasing Lozano, with his affordable asking price whipping up interest in the former Pachuca player.
According to its most recent estimate, the specialist website Transfermarkt places Lozano’s current market value at around €25m.
Capped 64 times by Mexico, Lozano has made 155 appearances for Napoli, scoring 30 goals and supplying 17 assists.
