Inter Miami’s preseason travels are underway and this Monday they continue their preparation towards Major League Soccer 2024 with a friendly match against Al Hilal as part of the Riyadh Season Cup. The franchise from Fort Lauderdale will face the best team in the Saudi Pro League and coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino may well continue experimenting in his starting eleven.

The team that plays at the DRV PNK Stadium are dealing with the absence of Facundo Farías (cruciate ligament rupture) and Benjamín Cremaschi (surgery for a sports hernia).

Inter Miami are planning on using the friendly matches in Saudi Arabia to allow the experienced players in the squad to show the younger members of the group how to approach an expedition of this nature and start building towards the coming season. Players such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba will be pushing the envelope to find their best form and the team’s best form heading into a challenging campaign.

So far, Inter Miami’s preseason has yielded a draw (El Salvador) and a defeat (FC Dallas), but over and above getting a win over Al Hilal, one of the major focuses for the side is the issue of goals, as they are yet to put the ball in the net after 180 minutes. A week after their game against Dallas, the South Florida club are coming back, looking to score.
