Ahead of the newly expanded 48 team tournament, collectors are eagerly anticipating the release of the traditional Panini sticker collection that has become a staple of the biggest soccer event every four years.

Panini has officially confirmed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup collection will be the largest in the company’s 50-year history, primarily due to the tournament’s expansion to 48 teams.

The tentative release date for the collection is April 26/29 and will feature 980 stickers with the date varying per region with a single sticker pack expected to retail at approximately: $1.50 – $2.00 / £1.00 – £1.20 (packs typically contain 5 stickers).

The massive scale of this tournament (104 matches across 16 cities) has led to a record-breaking collection size which compares to 670 for the Qatar 2022 collection.

The album will feature each of the 48 nations (with the final places being confirmed when the playoffs conclude at the end of March) with each team set to get a 2-page spread featuring 20 stickers: 18 player portraits, 1 team photo, and 1 shiny foil team logo.

There will also be special sections with dedicated pages for host city posters, stadiums, tournament history, and the “Road to the Final.”

It’s not clear at this point if FIFA chief Gianni Infantino will get his own sticker as was the case with last year’s FIFA Club World Cup sticker collection.
