Xabi Alonso announces he is leaving Bayer Leverkusen

Xabi Alonso has officially announced that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the current season. In a press conference ahead of Leverkusen’s final home match against Borussia Dortmund, Alonso confirmed his decision to step down after two and a half successful seasons with the club.
