Zinedine Zidane won’t be in charge of PSG next season

According to French outlet RMC Sport, Zinedine Zidane’s sole objective is to coach the France national team after the 2022 World Cup.

RMC report that Zidane’s plan is to coach Les Bleus when Didier Deschamps steps down. However, the former Real Madrid manager is not closing the door on coaching Paris Saint-Germain in the future.

Pochettino on his way out

The PSG hierarchy have made every effort to convince Zidane to be their next coach. From Doha, the premise was clear, although the Qatari leaders have not been able to convince him to succeed Mauricio Pochettino at PSG. The Argentine is on the verge of being sacked.

PSG have reached an agreement with Pochettino that will see the former club captain leave Paris after 18 months in charge.

In talks with Galtier

The reigning Ligue 1 champions are already negotiating with Nice to make Christophe Galtier Pochettino’s successor. Negotiations are expected to intensify in the coming days once Pochettino’s departure is made official.

Galtier has two left years to go on his contract with Nice, having arrived last summer after winning the Ligue 1 title with Lille.
