Arizona Cardinals took down parody “not real” viral video after backlash
When the Cardinals overcame a double-digit deficit to beat the Broncos, they posted this video trolling Russell Wilson, but later removed it.
The Arizona Cardinals overcame a double-digit deficit to the Denver Broncos to win their first preseason game 18-17. What made the victory even crazier is that the Broncos actually played many of their starters, including quarterback Russell Wilson, who had the team up 10-0 at the start. The Cardinals scored a touchdown and 2-point conversion to win the game with just two seconds left, and they mostly relied on their backups.
Then came the above video, which parodies the now famous viral video of a woman on a plane claiming that an unknown person in the back was “not real”. In the parody video, the woman is meant to be the Cardinals and the “not real” person she is referring to is Russell Wilson, working out in the aisles. Wilson, who completed 7/13 passes for 93 yards in the Broncos preseason loss, was previously said to have been working out on the team plane for four hours when the played in London while the rest of his teammates slept so this video was making fun of just that.
The parody video apparently received some backlash on social media though, and it has since been taken off of the Cardinals Twitter account.
