Did Jonathan Kraft really say “we’re not good enough”? Bellichick avoids questions

After another Patriots loss to the Commanders on Sunday, a video started to circulate with speculation that the Pats president said those doomed words.

The New England Patriots faced yet another loss on Sunday when the Washington Commanders beat them 20-17, moving the Pats to 2-7. During the game, a moment between Patriots CEO Robert Kraft and his son, Patriots president Jonathan Kraft was captured on camera. It was impossible to hear what was said, but many claim they can read the younger Kraft’s lips perfectly well and say he says, “I know we have to watch this. We’re not good enough.”

Pats coach Bill Belichick was asked about the video but dodged the question, saying, “you’d have to ask them about what they said”. He also avoided answering questions about his job security as head coach, as two of the Patriots’ seven loses (38-3 against the Cowboys and 34-0 to the Saints) were the worst of his career. His response when asked about how he feels regarding his future with the team was simply, “I’m going to control what I can control and get ready for the Colts.”
