Jerry Jeudy says he has “no hate” towards Steve Smith Sr. after viral video

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy addressed his behavior in a video that went viral in response to Steve Smith Sr.’s comments that he’s “just another guy”.

Former NFL player/current NFL analyst Steve Smith Sr. pushed the buttons of Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy when he called him a “JAG” - just another guy, rather than an impact player on his podcast Cut to It. Smith said he attempted to apologize to Jeudy, but Jeudy brushed him off. He then went on a public rant about Jeudy’s response, saying he would tell teams not to trade him if they asked.

A video of Jeudy appearing to respond to Smith’s comments went viral ahead of the Broncos Week 6 Thursday night game against the Chiefs. Jeudy later told reporters that he has “no hate” towards Smith - he simply did not appreciate that he made public comments about him which were negative, and then tried to act friendly to his face.

“I just stand on where I stand on. You feel some type of way, keep the same way when you see me in person,” said Jeudy. “I don’t have anything against him, that’s just how I feel. If I would have known you were going to apologize, of course I would have reacted different. But at the same time, I know somebody talked bad about me, I told him what it is and moved on from there. He went and took it to the media stuff and made it bigger than what it needed to be.”
