John Cena uses controversial response to push Wrestlemania in London

A video of wrestler John Cena rejecting a fan went viral and had mixed reactions, sparking a debate about proper etiquette for approaching celebrities.

A video went viral of famous WWE wrestler John Cena rejecting a fan. The video was recorded by the fan without Cena’s permission and the fan asked him to say his famous catchphrase, “you can’t see me”. Cena was thrown off and responded with “how about I enjoy some time with my friends?”

The fan apologized and turned off the video, but it sparked debates on social media over whether the fan was in the wrong for the way he went about the video or if Cena’s response was just rude. Either way, Cena decided to play on it and use it to his advantage.

Cena made a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank 2023 and as Grayson Waller told Cena, “no one says no to the Grayson Waller effect”, Cena asked him to repeat himself - just as he did with the rejected fan in the video that went viral. After Waller repeats himself, Cena says the same line he said to the fan - “how about, can I enjoy some time with my friends?”

He continues on - “And before you came out here, my friends and I were trying to let the world know that Wrestlemania needs to come to London!” That got the crowd pretty riled up and Triple H responded by saying that it could be a possibility in the future, but that “it’s a lot more difficult than it appears”
