Plane ejects passengers moments before crashing during Michigan air show
Videos show MiG-23 jet eject its crew just before crash landing into an apartment building parking lot during the Thunder Over Michigan air show.
The Thunder Over Michigan air show ended abruptly after one MiG-23 jet crashed. Fortunately, the two crew members on board were safely ejected, landing in Belleville Lake. They were not badly injured, but were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Videos show the aircraft crashing after the crew members were ejected and another video showed someone driving by the scene of the accident as the plane was up in flames on the side of the road.
The jet crashed into the parking lot of an apartment complex and hit unoccupied vehicles. Miraculously, no one in the apartment complex was injured either. Those in charge of the air show canceled the rest of the two-day event and the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
