Ryanair CEO gets pied in the face: “I love cream cakes!”

Michael O’Leary, Ryainair’s CEO, was smacked in the face with a pie by climate activists in Belgium and his reaction was hilarious.

On Thursday, Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary was in Brussels, Belgium to deliver a petition which calls for the protection of “overflights” during air traffic control strikes. During that discussion outside the European Commission, O’Leary was taken by surprise by getting a pie to the face by a climate activist.

The incident was caught on video as the activist, who was with one other person, said, “Welcome in Belgium. Stop the pollution of the f***ing planes!” O’Leary, however, kept his cool and even licked some of the pie off his fingers.

“We’re here to discuss the petition,” he said. “I love cream cakes. They’re my favorite...It’s delicious cake.”
