San Antonio Spurs put Victor Wembanyama to work in the gym
The Number 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft has wasted little time with his pre-season preparations and has been working hard on his physical attributes.
After months of speculation, Victor Wembanyama was indeed selected as the Number 1 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. The Frenchman signed with the San Antonio Spurs and is already one of the most talked-about rookies seen in the league for years.
The 7-foot, 3.5-inch center has attracted a huge amount of attention throughout his career in Europe. His enormous frame gives him incredible presence on the court and his handling skills and vision set him apart from almost all 7-footers in the league.
The one slight concern will be how the rigours of a 82-game season take its toil on his body. In a bid to get the jump on the competition, Wembanyama has been in the gym with the Spurs fitness coaches and looks to have the physicality needed to dominate NBA.
