Softball playing Granny goes viral, hits like a pro

There is a video doing the rounds on social media showing what is described as a “grandmother” (”abuela” in Spanish) showing off some not inconsequential softball skill.

The lady certainly appears to be more than comfortable at the plate, swinging for solid contact and scoring an RBI on her single to left center. The video then cuts to show her playing first base and making a stretching grab for the putout.

While the ladies’ identity has not been revealed, from the video she would appear to be in the Caribbean, with most social media users plumping for the Dominican Republic as likely a location. In any case, for a Granny she seems to be a dab hand at the old ball game.
