TikToker goes viral in video claiming her boyfriend left her for Lizzo
Allegations against Lizzo have caused many to question the singer’s authenticity and now, small stories like this woman’s are coming out of the woodwork.
Since Lizzo was accused of sexual assault, weight-shaming, and serious workplace misconduct, fans have been questioning her authenticity and stories have been coming out that indicate the singer may not be who people thought she was. A woman named Brooklyn Elizabeth Brown is one of the people claiming that Lizzo is not the type of person she preaches about, who practices “love and light”.
In a TikTok video with 3.9 million views already, Brown explained that her ex boyfriend of 10 years, comedian Myke Wright, cheated on her and left her for Lizzo, and that during that time, she met Lizzo herself and said she “wasn’t very nice” and had “a nasty attitude” towards her. She also said that there were texts exchanged between Lizzo and her then-boyfriend that she “will never be able to not see”. Brown said she felt like she couldn’t tell her story because everyone loved Lizzo so much and she didn’t want to come off as “whiny”, but now that Lizzo is under fire for these accusations, she feels “vindicated” and like people will actually listen to her side of the story.
