Video: Bruce Brown misses flight due to hangover, blames Nikola Jokic

After Bruce Brown won the NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets, he did a lot of celebrating. One night, however, he went a little too far when he went out in Las Vegas with NBA Finals MVP and teammate Nikola Jokic to celebrate. Brown told the story on Theo Pinson’s “Run Your Race” podcast, saying that he was actually trying to get Jokic drunk, but Jokic “flipped the script”.

“Bro, he had me drinking some Serbian whisky. We were taking shots,” Brown said. He said it hadn’t occurred to him to consider how much bigger Jokic is and Brown just simply couldn’t keep up. He was so hungover the next day that he missed his 8 a.m. flight and posted on Instagram Live, blaming Jokic for his terrible state when he finally woke up hours later. “I learned my lesson. He is different. Never again.”
