Video shows the change in air quality in NYC in just a few hours
This video shows the New York skyline go from hazy to completely orange in a matter of hours as the smoke from Canadian wildfires pollutes the air.

New York has reached alarming levels of poor air quality after the smoke from wildfires in Canada have come into the state and polluted the air. The state has had to issue a health advisory for dangerous particulate matter that can be extremely damaging to the lungs.
This video shows the difference in air quality from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday as the sky goes from a dim haze to turning completely orange with the New York skyline all but disappearing.
