Viral Video: Alec Baldwin punches camera out of woman’s hand
A woman in a café repeatedly asked actor Alec Baldwin to say “Free Palestine” and asked him “why he killed that lady” before he got fed up and reacted.
Actor Alec Baldwin was in a café in New York City when an anti-Israel woman came up to him, pointing a camera at him and repeatedly demanding that he say “Free Palestine”. The woman would not let up, asking him to say it “just one time”. She also asked him why he “killed that lady”, referring to the actress Halyna Hutchins, who was accidentally shot on set. Baldwin was pointing the revolver at Hutchins during a rehearsal when it went off, killing her. Baldwin pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. The movie weapons supervisor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was sentenced to 18 months in prison for the same charge.
The woman who was harassing Baldwin in the café is the host of a podcast called “Crackhead Barney & Friends”, known for conducting ambush interviews. She posted on Twitter that Baldwin attacked her while she was trying to get coffee, but the video clearly shows that she was agitating him to get a reaction, not simply getting coffee. After asking him to say “Free Palestine” repeatedly, she also says “F*** Israel” and “F*** Zionism”.
An employee at the coffee shop tried to get the woman to stop, but she continued on and Baldwin asked him to call the police. Baldwin opened the door and motioned for her to leave, but she didn’t let up. The video finally ends when Baldwin smacks the phone out of her hand. This isn’t the first instance of something like this happening. Back in December, Baldwin was approached by a group of anti-Israeli protesters and asked if he condemns Israel. His response was, “No, I support peace for Gaza.”
