WATCH: Audience reaction when Apple tells price of new Apple Vision Pro
When Apple announced the hefty price of the new Apple Vision Pro at the WWDC keynote, the whole audience had the same reaction.
At the WWDC 2023 keynote on Monday, Apple announced the release date and price of its new virtual reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro. When the price tag of $3,499 was announced, the entire audience audibly gasped.
Of course, Apple is known for carrying expensive gadgets, but this one is beyond the hopes of just your regular, everyday consumer. The internet seems to feel the same as the people in the audience at the event.
As this Twitter user pointed out, you are getting a desktop, HI-Fi system, and TV all in one, so in that regard, perhaps the price is quite fair. Apple also announced that the Apple Vision Pro will have an M2 chip and an R1 chip to handle real-time experiences. It has 12 cameras, six microphones, and five built-in sensors which enable it to display pictures on two 4K screens with 23 million pixels across each one.

The Apple Vision Pro will become available in early 2024 throughout the United States. The release date for other countries will follow.
