WATCH: Beyonce leaves out Lizzo’s name after sexual assault accusations

It could be a coincidence, but the internet is going crazy over the fact that Beyonce didn’t sing Lizzo’s name during her “Break My Soul” performance.

In the wake of serious allegations against Lizzo over sexual assault and creating a hostile work environment, Beyonce seems to be taking care not to upset anyone. During her performance in Boston, Massachusetts on Tuesday night, she seemed to leave out Lizzo’s name when she sang the remix to “Break My Soul”. The song lists off several influential Black female artists - “Betty Davis, Solange Knowles, Erykah Badu, Lizzo, Kelly Rowl”, but the internet has come together to point out that she skipped over Lizzo on Tuesday and instead repeated Badu’s name several times.

Of course, it could be a coincidence, but considering what has come out from Lizzo’s former backup dancers, it wouldn’t have been a bad call by Beyonce to leave out her name for now, until something more comes out that could clear Lizzo’s name. For now, it doesn’t look good for the singer, who preaches body positivity and love for all, but is now facing claims of disability discrimination, creating a hostile work environment, sexual harassment, and failing to do anything about it when her dance captain did the same.
