WATCH: Cowboys’ Micah Parsons takes on sumo wrestler in Tokyo
The Dallas Cowboys linebacker is using wrestling to improve his football skills. A viral video shows him going one-on-one against a sumo wrestler in Japan.
Dallas Cowboys defensive star Micah Parsons is on a tour of Japan alongside Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud. While in Tokyo, Parsons decided to brush up on his old wrestling skills by taking on a sumo wrestler. Pasons used to be a wrestler when he was growing up and no doubt it’s contributed to his football success. This season, he’ll be looking to make his fourth straight year of at least 13 sacks.
In Tokyo, he took on a young sumo wrestler in two rounds. In the first, the wrestler got the better of him, with Stroud teasing him about being too small. Even the wrestler joined in, making a gesture rocking a baby. In the second round, however, Parsons got his revenge, pushing the wrestler outside the ring and celebrating.
