WATCH: terrifying AI-generated Blue Jays commercial

A Blue Jays fan just wanted to create a nice, friendly, commercial for his baseball team, but that didn’t exactly go the way he thought it would.

This video is a perfect example of just how wrong Artificial Intelligence can go. A Toronto Blue Jays fan wanted to create a commercial of kids eating hot dogs and enjoying a Blue Jays baseball game, but what he got was...quite different.

Twitter user and TSN producer Josh Shiaman said the plan “did not go well.” I’ll say. There are arms and legs bending in unhuman-like directions and alien expressions on faces, but the ending is where the horror really begins. Rather than eating hot dogs, it looks like children and Blue Jays players are actually chowing down on each other’s intestines, with one player spewing a red goo reminiscent of Sam Raimi-style gore from his face. And it’s all done as a joyful song about baseball plays in the background, just to make absolute sure you have nightmares after watching.

Oh, and it ends with an appropriately wonky version of the Blue Jays logo.
