Wembanyama reveals the NBA player he’s most excited to play against
NBA’s soon-to-be top draft pick Victor Wembanyama tells reporters the player he’s most looking forward to playing against in the league.
We all know that Victor Wembanyama is going first overall in tonight’s NBA Draft to the San Antonio Spurs. It’s simply a matter of waiting for it to happen at this point. Wemby knows it, too, and has voiced his excitement over the possibility of playing for the Spurs.

But who is he most excited to play against? Ahead of the draft, Wemby told reporters that he’s most looking forward to playing against Phoenix Suns’ Kevin Durant.
The feeling is mutual - KD has also expressed his excitement about getting Wemby in the league and having the opportunity to play against him.
“Man, I just see a talented, enthusiastic player that just looks like he loves the game,” Durant told Jamal Crawford on NBATV’s Crawford’s Couch back in December. “You could see those guys that love to play. It looks like he got so much better over the last couple of years, that’s just from the work that you put in. So, I’m impressed with him, I can’t wait to see him in the league, see how everything pans out for him in the league and I’m looking forward to playing against him as well.”
