A product of Cajun country in south Louisiana, Jeff grew up in a small town playing every sport under the sun. He made up the numbers in football through high school, and stuck with baseball through college and beyond. After getting a BFA in film and video production from the Savannah College of Art & Design, he moved to London, where he became an editor and colorist, working for boutique post production companies in Soho before heading to Sky Sports. As his baseball playing days wound down, he coached the Croydon Pirates on their 2005 Premier Division Championship run. Declining an invitation by Hunter Wendelstedt to train to be an MLB umpire, he moved to Spain where he writes about all sports, especially boxing, NFL, and all the baseball that he can get away with. A lifelong fan of the New Orleans Saints and Texas Rangers, and a true devotee of all things to do with the LSU Tigers, he has become a default Cincinnati Bengals fan through Joe Burrow. Weekends will usually find him cooking a mean jambalaya or dirty rice, out on the boat, or riding his motorcycle.
