Born and bred in Edinburgh, Scotland, Calum has always had a passion for sports, spending much of his youth on a pitch or court come rain, shine or hail. And when not playing, he was either watching or reading about it. A Master's degree in business management would provide a useful foundation for his professional endeavours across operations and marketing campaigns being responsible for developing tactical and strategic plans. Then came the transition into the exciting world of journalism. Currently serving as the Managing Editor of AS USA, Calum helps lead a team focused on accuracy, integrity and reader satisfaction. While football (soccer) holds a special place in his heart, he very much enjoys NFL, NBA, golf, tennis, athletics, among others. In addition to sports, he has a keen interest in science, technology, music and current affairs. Always an admirer of the subtler aspects of any game, he loves nothing more than an exquisitely deft touch, an artfully executed drop shot, or even the unpredicted manoeuvring of a knight. Shuttlecock and keepie uppie achievements now in the rear view mirror, identifying how best to bring sports news to the masses marks his road ahead.
