Irish brawler Conor McGregor, world champion at the last Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has has announced on his official Twitter account that he is calling it a day. The 27-year-old, published a cryptic message on Tuesday night: "I have decided to retire young. Thanks for the cheese. Catch ya's later."
The Notorious is used to dropping soundbites or provocative comments on social network media - like when Mayweather exclaimed that McGregor and Ronda Rousey have benefitted "for the colour of their skin”. McGregor wasted no time in responding: “Floyd, there's people buried in the desert for less than that”.
