Game of two halves: “The players who were in the pitch in the first half had fresh legs but we lacked something in creating chances in the decisive part of the field. You need to be well position and ready to act quickly. The game was edging towards a dangerous situation. In the second half we had more velocity and our positioning was better. Once we were 3-0 up the game was more or less over and what happened after that didn't matter. A big win like gives boosts our self esteem but I hope that Sporting are able to save themselves after putting in a very complete season”.

Personal thoughts: “I'll focus on the positives. We have one game at home and two away. Those of us who want to win the league cannot slip up. It's not going to be simple. We have a long week of training to prepare for our next game and improve certain aspects”.

Madrid and Atlético's Champions League commitments: “I'd love it if they start to feel the weight of having to play every three days. Although that didn't happen to us last season. The team is physically in fine shape. We hope it works out in our favour”.

'MSN' Trident: “Being able to see the three up front requires the work of everyone else. They were lethal but the merit is for everybody”.

Sergi Roberto: “He took a knock to his ankle and I had to take him off. It was not worth the risk leaving him on”.

Neymar: “He's got a lot of personality, he's a top player and he keeps trying to do everything. He never hides away. He's always fighting, he'll press our rivals, he can take a penalty even when things are going his way. I was very pleased with the response from the public and that's why we love them so much - that they support us even when things aren't going smoothly”.

Piqué: “He's got a bit of discomfort to his hip and it doesn't seem to be subsiding”.
