How do you see the final?
I think it’s complicated. More complicated and more nerve-racking as the game approaches.
What’s your view of Atlético?
They’re more complete and better prepared than the final in Lisbon. They’ve shown it by beating teams that were the favourites and they’re going to make life very difficult for us.
You sound a little pessimistic…
It’s true that in finals, and even more so in the Champions League final, my Madrid side are special. I’m not really pessimistic, but it’s something reasonable after seeing how Atlético knocked out Bayern and Barcelona.
What about the job Zidane has done at Madrid...
He brought harmony to the team and belief in the players. Atlético are consistent and in the Champions League they’ve played at a really high level.
How do the the two teams compare?
With Madrid it’s about the individuals; Cristiano can change any game. Atlético, on the other hand, have a very strong block and then have good players up front, for instance Griezmann and Torres. Carrasco is another player who gives them pace.
Any predictions?
3-1 to Real Madrid.
