The Monday after the final in Milan was an emotional one for Atletico supporters in Madrid who showed their true colours by posting photos of children going to school in rojiblanco.

It was a Monday like few others, Atleti fans went back to the routine after that heartbreaking night in Milan when they yet again their club came so close to winning Europe's top club competition for the first time in their 113-year history. The loss didn't stop the fans showing their pride in their team's achievement, holding their heads high and showing their colchonero colours on social media.

To the trending Hastag #nuncadejesdecreer (Never stop believing) Atleti fans posted pictures of themselves and their children on their way to work and to school in Atletico Madrid colours, knowing the onslaught that awaited them at their places of toil, one letter written by a boy for his father resonated deeply:

"One day I was very angry and upset because Real Madrid beat Atleti one more time in the Champions League, and I spent the whole night crying. The next day I understood that you should never stop dreaming, because I know that one day Atleti will win the cup.
