Juventus and Real Madrid have set a date to decide Álvaro Morata’s future. The two clubs will meet next week (either on Monday or Tuesday) with Real president Florentino Pérez and Bianconero director Beppe Marotta both in attendance. The Italian chief’s wish is to keep hold of the Madrileño Morata, who scored 12 goals in 47 appearances this season, but Los Blancos want to exercise their option of buying back the striker for €30million. Arsenal and PSG, on the other hand, are ready to offer €65 million.

Morata: "I want to play and triumph at Madrid"

Morata is eager to resolve his future before the start of Euro 2016. “Hopefully it’ll all be settled by 13 June, the day of Spain’s first game,” he told AS in an interview earlier this week. The forward, who came through the youth ranks at Madrid before being sold to Juve in 2014, said it was his dream to “play and triumph at Real”.

While Morata has shown he’s capable of performing on the big stage in Italy, what he really desires is the guarantee of being a first choice player – a factor which could be key to negotiations next week. Juventus, however, will arrive at discussions with demands of their own. Kroos and Isco will also be central to the conversation, but it is unlikely that either would be willing to swap allegiances as part of a deal, and especially in the case of Kroos.

The German is happy in Madrid, but if a transfer was to happen, his destination would more realistically be England, where Manchester City and their bags full of cash are said to be preparing to pounce for the holding midfielder under Pep Guardiola’s new Premier League project.

The case of Isco is different. The Malagan playmaker gave a firm ‘no’ to the Italian champions when they went after him in January.
