Bild launch scathing attack on Cristiano

German daily dedicated half a page of Friday's edition in a damning piece titled: "Cristiano, the most arrogant vain man on the planet". The paper attacked Cristiano Ronaldo for his attitude at Euro 2016 and how the Portugal looked down on Iceland on and off the pitch in their Group F opener on Tuesday, after which the player said: "Iceland have a small mentality... They'll do nothing”. Bild showed no mercy for the Portugal star in the piece published today and even revealed another incident from the game. According to Bild, Iceland's Aron Gunnarsson tapped  Cristiano on the shoulder and asked if they could exchange shirts after the game - a request which was seemingly ignored twice.On the third time of asking, Cristiano replied - in English. Bild argue that Cristiano told the Iceland player: "And who are you?" but after studying a close-up angle of the clip, Cristiano is seen to point towards the tunnel and say "Inside" - meaning "Once we're inside, off the pitch", contrary to the German newspaper's report.
