Spain's Women's Under-19s hope it will be third time lucky for them as they meet France in tonight's European Championship final in Senec, Slovakia. Pedro López's side are hungry for this - they are unbeaten in the final phase of the tournament, having strolled through the group stage scoring 10 and conceding none, and confidence is sky high after they sent Holland back home after an epic 4-3 win in Thursday's semi-final.

That game, and the ones which preceded it, have made Spain's Under-19s win over the hearts of football fans everywhere and thrilled everyone back home in Spain - as their coach Pedro López said on the eve of the final: "They are gaining good results and they are getting themselves known all over the world".

But more than anything else, Spain's women's team really want this because they came so close in the past editions, losing the 2014 final to Holland and last year's to Sweden. Spain's Women's Under-19s team have reached the final in the category three times in succession and tonight's if their fourth in five years. Surely, the stars will be correctly alligned this time...

López is equally as keen to see his side finally win the trophy which Spain have only managed to do once before - after beating the all-powerful Germany back in 2004. His team will be giving it their best shot at the National Training Center in Senec this evening. "This really is a fantastic group of players and we have got this far, living each moment and each day together because every member of this team is highly motivated. Let's hope that other girls will watch this final and that the women's game in Spain can continue to grow as irrepressibly as it has been doing in the past few years".
