Gameiro: 'I've come to Atleti to score goals'

The French player was officially presented this evening at an event at the Vicente Calderon following his move from Sevilla.

Gamerio, new "Rojiblanco" 

Kevin Gameiro was officially unveiled as a new Atlético Madrid player signing up with the "Rojiblancos" for four seasons. The French striker began the presentation with a message of thanks: “I'd like to thank the president and supporters for such a warm welcome. I know we'll do well and I hope to bring titles to the club”. The new signing then answered questions from the press corps in the media room at the Calderon.

Griezmann. “I've yet to speak to him and will meet up with the squad when they return from their trip to Australia. I'm confident that my adaptation process will be quick”.

Other offers. “In my mind I was set on joining Atlético and confident of good times ahead. I've penned a four year deal and am optimistic about the future”.

Simeone. “He's demonstrated that he wants me in the squad and is aware of what I can offer. I'm quick around the area and will work will with him. We plan to sit down and talk after they return from Australia”.

Cholo's style. “I like his outlook, he wants to win every game and has a winning mentality which I like a great deal”. 

Atlético.“I'm really looking forward to the season ahead. This is a great club and can't wait for the season ahead challenging for the league title and Champions League and I'd love to win a trophy”.

“The important thing is that I'm at a club has chosen me and I'll do everything I can to win every game for the team and for the supporters”.

Gamerio than took to the Calderon pitch where 7.000 Atleti supporters braved the sweltering 35 degrees temperature of the Madrid summer to greet their new striker.
