The Empire State Building will be in Barcelona's colours
New York is recognising Barcelona's alliance with UNICEF and the opening of the club's office on Park Avenue.
Barcelona to take over the Empire State Building
Barcelona announced on Tuesday that the Empire State Building would be lighting up on Wednesday in the famous red and blue of the club's home kit, in recognition of the club's alliance with the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, Unicef.

It's also a fitting welcome for the club to the Big Apple, with Barcelona opening their new office on Park Avenue on Tuesday.

The Empire State Building, built between 1929 and 1931, and 102 stories high, will be lit up after an event in the iconic structure, to be attended by Barcelona Vice-President Jordi Cardoner and former player Ronaldinho.
