Colombia's national team manager spoke in the pre-match press conference ahead of tonight's big game against South American qualification group leaders Uruguay. The game kicks off at 22:30 CEST.

Will there be any changes for the Uruguay game? The team has always had available options depending on the situations that arise.

Edwin Cardona: "With him we have found many ways and possibilities to get his talent noticed in the national side. He has a lot of ability. Cardona has given us solutions and his role is important for us to meet our goals, the first of which is to find quick solutions, and he gives us that".

Joy at Paraguay win: The celebration of the goal showed our unity as a team and that we are getting close to what we are looking for.

Uruguay: They are top of the table because they play good football. We will be very aware of their courage, one of their most important characteristics. They have a very settled national side.

Tabárez and Macnelly: Surely you remember the last playoff game because I remember his words, he is a gentleman; that day he spoke highly of Colombia's style and especially of Macnelly, he knows the potential he has.

Qualifying group: We knew that this qualification campaign would be a harsh, so for this reason we must aim to get closer in every game. In a match like this, every aspect of it is crucial. We hope that the players are in good form this evening.

Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez stadium: The pitch has improved dramatically showing they have done some work on it.

James Rodriguez: all players are committed to the national team and to the country and assume the responsibly. I emphasise the sacrifice and love that James feels for the national team. Real Madrid authorised his trip, and here he has continued his recovery but finally he chose to travel back and continue his recovery at his club and thus resume work."
