REAL MADRID

The BBC: only the 19th most potent trident in Europe this season

Real Madrid's attacking trio of Bale, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo have scored fewer goals than 18 other tridents in Europe's top leagues so far this season, behind the likes of Nice and Torino.

Update:
The BBC: only the 19th most potent trident in Europe this season

When it comes to goals, the BBC (Bale, Benzema and Cristiano) are not exactly going through their best moment right now.

Attacking tridents' goal comparison

While that is not exactly big news in its own right, when you compare the trio’s goal tally to the top three scorers from each team in Europe’s top leagues so far this season, it gives you much more of a startling perspective.

BBC 19th on the list

In such a comparative list compiled by Transermarkt, the Real Madrid strike force are only the 19th most potent attacking trident on the continent, behind the likes of scorers from Torino, Nice, Lazio, and Montpellier – not to mention of course Spanish rivals Barcelona (2nd) and Atletico (7th).
