Valbuena

Mathieu Valbuena said yesterday that, "I would be ready to play with Benzema again. There is no problem." The French midfielder, currently playing with Lyon, has played 52 times for his country but has not played since November 2015. The pair were embroiled in a bitter sextape row with the Real Madrid striker allegedly blackmailing the Lyon player.

Gelson Martins contract

The Sporting Club de Portugal player has rejected his club's final offer of a contract renewal, according to O Jogo, with both Barcelona and Madrid following the situation closely. The 21-year-old was excellent in both games against Real in the Champions LEague despite coming out on the losing side both times.

High-risk El Clasico

The State Commission against violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport has ruled the El Clasico on the third of December as a high risk game. Real Madrid travel to the Camp Nou to take on Barcelona on Saturday the third at 4.15pm with the return game planned for April in Madrid.

Fans pick Vazquez

News of Gareth Bale's ankle injury has hit Real Madrid fans hard but they have spoken and would like Lucas Vazquez to replace the flying Welshman. A poll carried out by AS.com suggests Vazquez is the favourite with a total of 42% of votes. Second in the voting was Isco with 30%, James came third with 18% and Marco Asensio landed 10% of readers votes.
