Club América coach Ricardo La Volpe attended the media in Saturday's press conference on the eve of the match which will decide who will finish third and fourth at the 2016 Club World Cup. La Volpe spoke about losing Thursday's semi-final to Real Madrid, the controversial VAR system and couldn't resist taking at pot shot at FIFA.

No complaints

Coaching career: “I don't need anything. I am already yhankful to God for the career I have had. For me, tomorrow I could turn around and say I am never going to coach again and call it quits, but I have been through all of the different phases which every coach goes through".

VAR system in allowing Cristiano's goal: "It was worse when we studied the replay because our keeper had played the ball out to the centre circle and then we heard someone shout - we don't know if it was the referee or someone from high up in the stands; I didn't protest because it was 2-0, but if it had been 1-0 it would have been talked about and very conflictive because it would have given a result to the team who they [FIFA] wanted in the final".

Too many fouls

Real Madrid in tomorrow's final: "It would be stupid to think they didn't want Madrid in the final - the logical thing was for them to go through. I didn't say anything, I just smiled at the Paraguayan referee because at this level, I feel that everything should be more equal. I didn't like the referee because every time a player shouted, he signalled for a foul - that was when I asked him if he had discovered a new language...".
