Georgios Samaras unveiled as new Real Zaragoza No. 5
The Heraklion born striker was a free agent after NASL club Rayo OKC ceased competing. The Greek international made his name with Glasgow Celtic.

Real Zaragoza unveiled new signing Gerogios Samaras this morning at a press conference at La Romereda stadium as over a hundred supporters turned out to see the new striker in the famous white shirt for the first time.
Once a 'Bhoy'
The Greek international joined the Aragon based side after his previous club, NASL franchise Rayo OKC folded recently but the 31 year old is best known in the European game for his 156 appearances for Scottish giants Celtic where 48 goals for the Glasgow side made him a firm fan favourite.

No. 5 shirt
The striker claimed that he was fit and delighted to be joining Real Zaragoza and was keen to do his part in the club's push for a place back in Spain's top flight and felt that his experience would be an asset at the club.

Real Zaragoza lie in twelfth place in the second tier of Spanish football and face table topping Levante this weekend when it's anticipated Samaras may make his debut in the side.
