Simeone celebrates his 300th game in charge of Atletico
The Argentine has the best win percentage of any Atletico Madrid manager but faces a side in Barcelona who he has struggled to beat on many an occasion.
Diego Simeone celebrates his 300th game in charge of Atletico Madrid on Sunday against Barcelona after five and a half years at the club. He arrives at the milestone game with the best numbers accumulated by any coach of the club. He has 187 wins, 61 draws and 51 losses (Amongst managers who have managed a significant number of games - Urbano Iturbe had one game and one vicitory and Carlos García Cantarero had seven wins in nine games).

Simeone has a win percentage 62.54% and none of the other top 10 coaches at the club are anywhere near such a ratio. Luis Aragones has a 50.24% winning percentage, Ricardo Zamora has a 50.24% when Atletico were called Atlético Aviación, and Radomir Antic won 46.56% of his games in charge. He also has an excellent goal difference with his sides scoring 520 goals and conceding just 219 in the 300 games.
A win over Barcelona makes the race for third place even tighter but Barcelona are the one team who he has struggled against time and time again. The Argentine has only won two games out of twenty against Barça with four different managers in charge.
