Cristiano fit for Athletic, Pepe a doubt and Varane ruled out

Cristiano Ronaldo rejoined the Real Madrid squad in full training on Wednesday after spending the previous day in the gym at the club’s Valdebebas training complex and will be fit to start at San Mamés when Zinedine Zidane’s side face Athletic this weekend.
Zidane's defensive doubts
Pepe trained on his own with physios as he continues his recovery from a muscle problem and is a doubt for the game in Bilbao. If the Portuguese fails to make the squad he will likely be replaced by Nacho, who will partner Sergio Ramos in the heart of defence with Raphael Varane definitely ruled out with a hamstring injury the France defender sustained in the 2-1 defeat against Valencia.
Fabio Coentrão also rejoined the squad after spending the past few days working inside the installations while Enzo Zidane was called up for first team training as well.
