Gameiro, Giménez and Gabi return for Atleti against Sevilla
The defender, midfielder and forward have all been cleared to return to action. Diego Simeone confirmed Gabi will start but not who will partner Griezmann.
Diego Simeone has announced his squad for the top of the table clash against Sevilla on Sunday (kick-off 16:15 CET) and welcomed back three players to the fold after injury.
Simeone's attacking options
Gabi, José María Gimenéz and Kevin Gameiro have all been passed fit to play and Simeone confirmed that the club captain will play but did not elaborate on whether former Sevilla striker Gameiro, who missed the games against Granada and Leverkusen, or one of the other options he has at his disposal would partner Antoine Griezmann in attack
Giménez also trained with the squad on Saturday, wearing a protective mask after fracturing his nose against Granada last week, and could be included in the side for Sunday’s game.
Keeper André Moreira and forward Alessio Cerci were both omitted for technical reasons and Simeone will have to drop one more player before the game.
