Juan Carlos Unzue spent Sunday night saying his goodbyes to staff at Camp Nou. He, together with Luis Enrique and the rest of te technical team, bid farewell to all of those who, week after week, have worked alongside him for the past three seasons directing Barça's first team. It was a clear sign that Unzue, who was on the list of candidates to replace Luis Enrique in the Barcelona job during the past few weeks, has privately conceded that he too will be shortly moving on to a new venture elsewhere - together with the rest of the coaching staff.

Unzue was always a popular figure among Barcelona staff and was very generous with those he worked with to ensure that when the players went out onto the pitch at Camp Nou, all they had to think about was the match.

Almost all of the members of Luis Enrique's coaching team are expected to leave - including third coach Robert Moreno, assistent Joan Barbarà, physical trainer Rafel Pol. Goalkeeping coach José Ramón de la Fuente could be moving on although that is still to be decided. Psychologist Joaquín Valdés, who has been someone who Luis Enrique has confided in during his tenure, will also be moving elsewhere.
