According to Corriere dello Sport the Rojiblancos have ruled out and sale of their starting keeper, whose release clause stands at 100 million eurosBarcelona vs Atlético: UEFA Youth League
Atlético Madrid have reportedly rejected an offer of 75 million euros from PSG for Slovenia international goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Atlético transfer ban
The Rojiblancos are under a transfer embargo imposed by Fifa and unable to sign any new players in the summer transfer window but even of that were not the case the message emanating from the Calderón is crystal clear: Oblak is not for sale.
The 24-year old kept 21 clean sheets in 41 games in all competitions last season, conceding just 28 times, and has been the subject of interest from several clubs including Manchester United, leading Atlético to slap a 100-million-euro release clause into the keeper’s contract.
Oblak going nowhere as Atleti shut up shop
Other than Tiago, who is out of contract, reserve keeper Moreira and striker Alessio Cerci, Atlético are extremely unlikely to let any players leave during the summer. United target Antoine Griezmann has elected to remain at the club in the wake of the transfer ban and any suitors for Oblak will have to come back with the amount of his clause. Even then, Atlético’s answer is likely to remain the same.
