Nolito: I want to return to Spain because Pep has no faith in me
The Manchester City attacker said he believes Pep has no faith in him and mulled over the possibility of a return to Spain and if he preferred a move to Celta Vigo or Sevilla.England vs Spain
Nolito's future almost certainly lies in Spain, where various teams are in competition for his signature including Celta Vigo and Sevilla. In Vigo, he spent three magnificent season before a move to Manchester City last summer but his wife is from Sevilla and they will play in the Champions League next season.
When asked on El Larguero de la SER, Nolito said, "Celta or Sevilla? It's a difficult question, I wouldn't know what to say. Sincerely, I don't know what is going to happen. If I had to choose, I would say the decision if too difficult. At Celta, I spent some of the best years of my career and I have plenty of friends there. Sevilla is a great club and they play in the Champions League. Each one has pros and cons."
Eduardo Berizzo and Pepe Castro have spoken openly about their interest in the player but Nolito says he can't be on the streets in Sevilla or people might think he is signing for them and he will have to wear a skimask when he is there with his wife, who is from Sevilla.
"I think my situation will stretch out until the end of the preseason and I am not worried if I go to Sevilla, Celta or another team. I guess City will want to receive a big fee for me because they paid for me and they will have settled on a price. I would like to know as soon as possible but I will have to return there and do preseason," said Nolito before saying "I will not say the other teams because I already said two of them," when asked what other sides are interested in him.
He is, however, confident that City will let him leave this summer, "It's not an easy topic because you have to see what City says and what City want. From December until the summer, I played very little. All I want to do is play and if I have the chance, I want to leave and return to Spain. i want to play and try to be happy. I don't think Guardiola has any faith in me".
