Real Madrid: Achraf in frame to replace Danilo, will go on US tour
Danilo's likely move has put the brakes on Achraf Hakimi's loan to Alavés, with the Castilla man in pole position to fill the gap in the squad.Champions League Final: Real Madrid - Liverpool
Danilo's expected exit from Real Madrid appears likely to have an effect on the immediate future of club youth product and fellow right-back Achraf Hakimi.
Danilo Juve transfer halts Achraf Alavés loan
The 18-year-old, who last season made 28 appearances for Los Blancos' 'B' team, Real Madrid Castilla, had looked set for a loan move to Alavés to gain LaLiga experience.
However, Danilo's probable 20m-euro switch to Serie A leaves Zinedine Zidane without cover for Dani Carvajal, and Achraf, who is considered one of the youth set-up's most promising prospects, is thought to be the Real boss's first choice.
Achraf, a full Moroccan international, has been told he is to go on Real's pre-season tour to the US, where Zidane will run the rule over his readiness for the first team.
The chief concern about the player is his inexperience, but he has received glowing references from the staff in charge of both Castilla and Guti's Under-19s side, for whom he starred in the UEFA Youth League and the Copa de Rey Juvenil last term.
Alavés still hopeful of taking Achraf on loan
Alavés, whose season-long move for Achraf had been on the verge of completion, have been informed of the change of plan, but still retain hope of signing him. If Zidane finally decides to let the defender leave on loan, the Basques will remain the primary option.
